Important Information for Everyone
Who Drives to the Barr Homes Soccerplex
Please make sure all of your team and your supporters are aware of these important considerations for using the gravel access road that leads to the Barr Homes soccer fields. It’s called Gun Road, and we built it.
- Watch carefully for the Gun Road intersection with County Rd #6/Wilton Rd.
If you miss the turn, use common sense and courtesy if you use someone’s driveway to turn around. There have been incidents when inconsiderate numbskulls have significantly disturbed residential driveways after having driven past the Gun Rd turn. - Do not drive down the middle of Gun Road!
Far too many drivers are driving the middle of the road. This is causing excessive wear and is prematurely destroying our access road. (In Canada, you should drive on the right-hand side of the road.) - Obey a 30 km/h speed limit on Gun Road.
Speeds higher than that are dangerous for the poor road conditions. Higher speeds are also churning up an excessive amount of dust that have our neighbours justifiably complaining.
Regular Season Full Schedule On-line
The full 2012 outdoor season is now on-line.
The tentative playoff schedule will soon be on-line as well. This year, the playoff rounds are scheduled to start on Aug-20 and to finish on Aug-29.
Partial Schedule On-line
The first three weeks of the 2012 outdoor season are now on-line. Team representatives should also have received this much of the schedule by email; if that has not happened, notify statistician and assistant scheduler Alex right away.
Plus, as of this evening, the Nathalie Cave Cup and the Carmine Lanzo, Sr Cup each have their tournament schedule on-line as well.
Note that team information, including uniforms, is not yet up-to-date for 2012. Some of the information will be missing, and some of it will be old information from last year. Before too long it should be correct for the 2012 season, but as always, feel free to point out any corrections by sending an email to webmaster Bill.
